Children, Youth and Young Adult Programming

Infants and toddlers (0-4): Tender loving care will be provided in the Nursery Suite on site at the hotel. The Nursery will be in operation on Friday from 7-10p.m; on Saturday from 7 am to 10 pm; and on Sunday from 9:15 am – 12 pm.

Children (5-11): Onsite care and activities will be provided on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm –10pm. A children’s camp at the Mt. Diablo Church in Walnut Creek will feature a clay-mation movie project, snacks, lunch and opportunities for playing and relaxing. This program runs from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Children must be registered in advance. Consent and medical release forms are required.

MUUGS Middle School UU Groups (12-14): Mt. Diablo is very proud of its awesome middle school group and invites other middle school youth to join them for a supervised week end at the District Assembly. The youth will have a hospitality suite and are invited to spend the night. Activities will include participation in workshops, preparing a worship service for the Children’s Sunday School, and joining the older youth for the traditional Pizza Party. Consent and medical release forms are required.

DYGT (Dig It) District Youth Groups Together (14- 20): Congregational Youth groups and their advisors are encouraged to join in the great variety of programming provided by the District Assembly. The DYGT Groups will host a congregational youth group idea swap. Bring your best practices, games, rituals, social action ideas, etc. participate in a youth lunch conversation and a Pizza Party on Saturday. A list of Youth friendly programming is available.

PCD - YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists): The PCD leadership Council will offer a youth service on Friday Night. These services continue to be a highlight of the District Assemblies, and are well know for the inspirational rituals. Youth involved in YRUU are invited to join the events and workshops of the assembly and the Pizza Party on Saturday night.

YACM (Young Adult/ Campus Ministry) and UUYAN (UU Young Adult Network): The groups for 18- 35 year olds, will be offering a workshop spot and a worship service for all DA attendees. Make sure you see the list of workshops recommended for young adults and make contact with others in this dynamic age range.
