Children & Youth Programs Registration Form

Pacific Central District—UUA District Assembly 2008, Apr. 25-27

Children’s and Youth Programs

Nursery (0-2.5): Little ones 1-2.5 can come and find themselves in a quiet and safe space, exploring a diverse range of toys and games with adults chosen because of their love for the littlest of us.

Rainbows (2.5 – 5): Children ages 2.5-5 will enjoy a wide variety of activities which help them learn about all the differences and similarities between the people of the world. Through art, group games, stories, and the creation of a “Book about Me” our preschoolers will learn about several different cultures, and think more about their own.

Kids (6ish -12ish): Children 6ish-12ish can attend our children’s programming which includes Saturday’s Multicultural Art Fair. Through art projects, group games, and storytelling, children will experience some of the cultures of West Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Mexico.

MUUGS Middle School UU Groups: Middle School aged youth can join programming that will include many opportunities for fun and community building (swimming in the hotel pool, Saturday overnight movie and pizza party, creating a worship service for the Children's program, learning more about the district's Coming of Age program, playing DEEP FUN games and more) and learning what it means to have a multi-cultural awareness as a UU. Part of our work will include listening to people of color tell their stories, participating in discussions, practicing listening and speaking with empathy and being part of creating a multi-cultural group project.

(Note:  If you’d like to join the swim party, don’t forget your suit!)

DYGT (Dig It) District Youth Groups Together: High school aged teens from all corners of the district are welcomed to come be a part of growing youth-adult relations in our district. Through facilitating Friday night worship, attending workshops Saturday morning, and facilitating an Adult CON workshop Saturday afternoon, youth at this year’s DA will not be asking what PCD adults can do for them, but what they can do to build genuine relationship with PCD adults.  Of course, there will also be tons of games and a lot of getting to know each-other. Come hang out with other UU youth and find out how exciting it is to be a part of the PCD Youth world!

(Note:  If you’d like to join the swim party, don’t forget your suit!)
