PCD Honor Awards
Request for
Nominations
Dear Friends,
It's nearly Valentine's Day, and time to circulate this
REQUEST FOR NOMINATIONS for our annual Honor Awards to
be presented at District Assembly 2008!
Our PCD Board of Directors has identified five award
categories for this year:
| The Distinguished Service to the
PCD Award |
|
For an individual Unitarian
Universalist who has provided exceptional leadership in
the Pacific Central District not only by valued
contributions to our religious movement, but also by
exemplifying our common values through his or her very
life. |

|
| |
The Junella Hanson Memorial Award
for Excellence
in Religious Education Award
|
|
For an individual Unitarian
Universalist who has demonstrated true excellence in
teaching and faith development in the PCD.
|
|
|
|
|
| |
| The Moral Beacon Award
|
|
For an individual Unitarian
Universalist or congregation who has demonstrated
excellent work for social justice in the PCD.
|
|
|
|
|
| |
| The Unsung Congregational Hero
Award |
|
For an individual Unitarian
Universalist who has exemplified personal commitment to
a congregation in the PCD and has strengthened Unitarian
Universalism within the congregation.
|
|
|
|
|
| |
| Youth Programming Award
|
|
For a PCD congregation with a youth
program that has experienced exceptional growth or
innovation. |
|
|
|
|
| |
As is our tradition, we will also present two Growth
Awards, one for the highest net membership increase, and one for
the highest percentage increase in membership. These awards are not
based on nominations.
Submitting your nominations is as easy as sending
me an email with the following information:
- your name and home congregation
- your contact information
- the award category for your nomination
- the person or congregation being nominated
- the nominee's home congregation
- the reasons behind your nomination
All nominations
must be received no later than March 3, three weeks
from today. We'll try to track you down if any of the required
information is missing, but such errors may result in the nomination
not being considered.
