Located just 10 miles north of Santa Cruz, the Earth Matters Retreat Center comprises 127 acres featuring hiking trails and spaces for contemplation and celebration: labyrinth, medicine wheel, fire circle, yurt. Winding though the redwoods to arrive at the retreat center, you forget that you are less than an hour from San Jose airport.
The entire property is off the grid, with solar electricity and private wells, helping the group form a conscious practice in support of sustaining the interconnected web. Organic gardens and chickens and fish from the Monterey Bay contribute to delicious gourmet meals.
Lodging
Accommodations are dormitory-style. Campsites are also available.
